The Faculty of Electronic Technology was established right at the foundation of Ho Chi Minh city University of Industry (HUI). Since then, it has become one of the major technological faculties of HUI. Several milestones were: Workers Training Center since 1976, Vocational School since 1980, College since 1999 and University since 2005. The Faculty has grown in the number of diploma levels granted, as well as in the number of student enrolled.
More than three thousands students are pursuing their courses at all diploma levels, compared to a few dozen students at the beginning time. The Faculty is organized into the following five Departments: Basic Electronics, Electronic-Telecommunications, Electronic-Automation, Electronic-Computer, Industrial Electronics. Students in these Departments are equipped with specialized knowledge and competence. They've got high results in various competitions such as Vietnam Youth Skills Competition, Vietnam ROBOCON, ... After graduation, they have had significant contributions in their working environment. Some of them are highly appreciated for skill and attitude. In achieving these results, the entire staff of Faculty has played an important role. They put great effort in updating and renewing the syllabus, the lectures and the laboratory systems. This will ensure an education that matches well the demand of society.
